Over the last 10 years, REC has trained and mentored over 5,000 students. We have played key roles in Sallie Mae leaving ALEC (the organization that pushed “stand your ground”) and preventing the sale of the LA Times to the Koch Brothers. We have led the movement to divest from fossil fuels and invest in climate solutions, a campaign now active on over 400 campuses.
But we have only just begun. From fighting private prisons and the fossil fuel industry to investing in community energy solutions, we are leveraging the power of college endowments.
Join us in New York City to celebrate ten years of our accomplishments together, and to envision what the next ten years hold in store.
