Student Organizer Program

At REC, we know that leadership skills must be actively nurtured and developed in our youth, and thus we work not only to change the way colleges and universities address their social and environmental impact, but also to provide the next generation of activists with the tools of responsible investment to help them to be as effective as possible.

Our Student Organizer Program gives students an opportunity to learn in-depth about responsible investment and cultivate leadership skills in a year-long intensive program. During the program, Student Organizers work closely with REC staff to create resources for fellow students, including webinars and presentations, meet others in the field and learn about the responsible investment industry, and gain valuable trainings from experienced activists. We are proud of the diversity of students who have participated, and pay students a generous stipend to ensure students from all class backgrounds can participate.

During the summer, students attend an intensive 10-day training program in New York City to prepare for their work. During the school year student organizers continue to work with REC to do outreach for our conference, outreach on neighboring campuses, and create new resources for their peers.

We know you’re committed to social justice and to ensuring the next generation is well prepared to take on the tremendous challenges of our era and there are several options for Corporate or Individual Sponsorship of a Student Organizer or the Student Organizer Program, to learn more, scroll down or click here.
