Job Description: Summer Internship at REC
Are you part of a fossil fuel or prison divestment campaign? Working on a project for your university to invest in line with its mission?
The Responsible Endowments Coalition is looking for Summer Organizing Interns! Interns will work 30 hours each week from our office in Downtown Brooklyn, with flexibility to work from home sometimes. Intern duties will include:
Outreach to students and allies
Contributing to the development of national organizing strategies, especially around fossil fuel reinvestment and prison divestment
Assistance with fundraising, including crowd-sourcing, mailings, and grant editing/writing
Online organizing including website and social media content
Generating organizing resources like handouts and newsletters
Internal record keeping, including maintenance of our database
Logistics and programming coordination for our Summer Organizing Retreat
We are looking for college students or recent college grads. Preference will be given to applicants organizing on a divestment or responsible investment campaign, though all are encouraged to apply.

The intern must be based in NYC. We will work with applicants to get funding from their schools or compensation from REC. Metro cards will be provided. We will strive to meet your need through a mixture of REC funds and funding from other sources if they are available.
